Summary

Modern and clean, Goldsmid House is ideally located close to Victoria station.

Introduction

Goldsmid House is situated in the heart of central London (SW1V 1HU), close to Victoria Station, and just a short walk away from Green Park and Buckingham Palace. Goldsmid House provides budget summer accommodation in single ensuite rooms from June until September, and small double rooms during August and September.  (Please note that the beds are small doubles and are 124cm wide).

Each floor has a large kitchen shared with up to seven other guests - no cooking facilites available - only kettles, toasters and microwaves. Goldsmid House is divided in two buildings around an external podium area.

There are many bars, cafes and restaurants close by. Local facilities include supermarkets and theatres whilst Chelsea is about a 10 minute walk away. There are a wealth of attractions to visit in London, including the British Museum, the museums of South Kensington and the West End. All of these are easily accessible from Goldsmid House given its excellent location in terms of public transport links.

Please Note: Because of Goldsmid House building materials, some bedrooms may have poor mobile phone reception.

Food and Drinks

Goldsmid House offers use of communal kitchens. All have refrigerators, freezers, toasters, kettles and microwaves, as well as basic crockery, cutlery and utensils.  There are many restaurants within walking distance of Goldsmid House.

Kitchens are cleaned frequently (at least once weekly), but guests are responsible for their own washing and tidying up.

Kitchens and communal rooms can be used 24 hours a day, but we would like to point out that use after 11pm at night might cause disturbance to other guests.

Grounds and gardens

There is an external podium area between the two blocks of Goldsmid House.  Green Park and St. James Park are within walking distance.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Room was very clean and functional. Quiet over night. Can warmly recommend to stay here again.
Mrs Carmen M

For an en suite room in central London, really good value for money. If I was going to be picky a fan in the room, and an extra pillow would be smashing. But I'm content with what I had.
Mr Matthew F

Great service. Repeat customer. Will be back again!
Mr Elkana R

Super easy booking online and very comprehensive arrivals instructions which were gratefully received. The place is superbly located just a very short walk from Victoria station and close to several good restaurants and cafes, along with a large supermarket. Clean compact room, large single / small double bed. For the price this is a top choice.
Mr Christopher S

great location, safe clean rooms
Mr Paul R

Excellent location in Victoria, where you have good connections around the city. The room was good enough for a single traveller like me.
Miss Niina V

I rated everything "excellent." The booking website was easy. The front desk staff were helpful. They stored my bag for me when I needed to check out and couldn't get to the next place, free of charge. Yes, the room is small and sparse, but it also well organized and tidy. For a student accommodation, it was just what it should be. As a traveler with my spouse I would also add that it was nice that this particular place had a little more floor space and double beds so we could stay together without tripping on each other every minute, not all of them do. And if you are in London to be a theatre goer- you are near two major venues!
Mr David S

There is nothing to complain about at all with the arrangements here. You get a clean room, a comfortable bed and a small, clean and functional bedroom. You can't ask any more for a short stay. There is no TV in the room, which is fine as there's a good, accessible wi-fi connection for personal devices.
Mr Rob A

Affordable and pleasant room in great location. I was amazed at how quiet it was at night. Warm summer nights so being able to open the window was very useful. Great kitchen facilities and was able to borrow an iron. Front desk helpful when I reported an issue with my assigned room and switched me to another. Request a non-ground-floor room for added privacy.
Ms Anna R

The room was clean and contained the essentials. The accommodation was far cheaper than a comparable hotel room.
